SUMMARY
This colloquium aims to show that the historiographical presentation
of constitutional cultures has always been thought out and
mobilised with the intention of building and consolidating a national identity.
Through its political and normative uses, constitutional history has always been
closely linked to the discourse of constitutional law.
Its narration can only proceed from a work of deciphering the representations
that are at the heart of a constitutional order and that form the basis of its identity.
In this respect, it is known that the historical self-consciousness
of European nations has been formed particularly through the study of law
(historical visions derive mainly from national legal systems).
